To Hear my Soul's Complaint--December 3, 2013‏

December 3, 2013

Hey Everyone!

Happy thanksgiving!

They don't have that holiday here.... I forgot what day it was on so I didn't celebrate. It still feels like June to me, so oh well! hahaha I hope that You all enjoyed your holiday and families!

This week has been so great! We taught 44 lessons, had 10 new investigators, and we will have 5 baptisms this week because the Intanes family all passed their interviews! yay! We are excited for Sunday!

Because of their baptism coming up, we have been spending a lot of time out there. They live really far away. Usually, we don't stay there when it's dark, but a few days ago, we were there and our lesson went a little longer than usual, so it was dark when we left their house. While we were walking out back to the road (about a 7 min walk) we passed a group of kids. They all gave us high fives and whatever, you know, the usual. then they walked away. 30 seconds later, they came back and started walking with us to the road. We kept asking them where they were going, and they just kept saying, "no where sisters." When we were close to the road, a little girl said, "Sister, don't come back here when it's dark. It's really dangerous, lots of addicts and maybe next time we won't be able to be here to keep you safe." I thought it was so cute that they tried to keep us safe. Who knows if they did or not, but I'm so grateful for their sweet spirits. I love the kids here! They are seriously the happiest kids in the world. Even though they usually don't have toys, or video games, or computers, they just enjoy life.

The other day I was sick! I felt like my head was going to explode. I just kept thinking to myself," ok! 5 more lessons and then you can go home and sleep." "ok! almost there! 3 more lessons left! You got this! You can still make this a good lesson!" etc. I didn't realize that our last lesson was forever away. After the driver dropped us off, and after our lesson, we had about a 3/4 mile walk back to the main road. And because it is kind of an isolated place, there were no tricycles out that way. I was walking and trying not to fall over when I thought, "ugh I can't make it! I wish someone would pick us up! I just want to go home!" and then, out of no where, One of our investigators pulls up in his motorcycle and says, "Sisters! I'm headed out by your house, hop on!" We told him we just wanted him to take us to the main road so we could get a motor home, but when we got there, he just kept going. So, my complaints were mercifully answered by my Heavenly Father.

Even though this is not a huge miracle or anything, I was so touched at how quickly my sort of complaint prayer was answered. I know that Heavenly Father hears every single one of our prayers, and that through prayer, we have an incredible privilege to come closer to Him.

I'm thankful for all of you! I'm thankful for the e-mails that I received from some of you after the Typhoon. Thanks for thinking about me! It gave me a lot of comfort in such an interesting time in my life.

I hope all of you have a great righteous week!

Weekly Challenge: Show your thanks for all the mercy that the Lord has for you and forgive some of the people who have offended you.

Lots of love,

Sister Bingham
