We went and contacted a new investigator that we have, Dennis, that invited us into his house. He sat us down, and we started talking about the Book of Mormon (He had come up to me and Sister Schaap last transfer and asked to have one). In the middle of our discussion, he asked me a question. He said, " If someone had a gun to your back, and said, say you aren't Mormon, or die, what would you do?" I started crying a little bit and told him with as much spiritual power I had in me that I would do anything for the Lord, even if it meant dying. He told me that every missionary that comes to his house gets asked that question. He said they all say yes, but no one ever cries, or really means it. He said that he had been searching for the truth most of his life, and he is really interested now because he said that he knows that I sincerely believe in this religion.
It got me thinking. I always thought that I would say yes if that situation ever happened, but now I know that I would. In that moment, I felt the love that my father in heaven has for me, and how much he appreciates me serving a mission. I love this gospel, and I am so happy to be a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints.
