Sorry about last week...July 7, 2013

July 7, 2013

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry I didn't send an e-mail last week, the computer I was on was super slow, and the space bar was broken, so it was really difficult to e-mail. Anyway, This week was kind of hard, but it was really productive!

This week we have 9 new investigators, we pretty much have more of them than we can handle now. I think the hardest part of missionary work is deciding who will progress, and who won't, and deciding who you will spend your time on. But the coolest thing is when you meet people who are super prepared, and super ready for the gospel and they just soak in everything the spirit teaches them!

One day, we were walking past a well, and we saw a lady doing her laundry, so we offered our help. Usually the people say no because they are kind of shy. But this lady, Rowena, said yes! So we were just talking, and all of the sudden she says, " Can you sisters come to my house and have bible study with my family?" And we were like, "YES!!!" So, after we were done with her laundry, we helped her carry it all to her house, so we knew how to get there, and then she said, "So, you need my number right?" and then, "Can you come when my whole family is here?" I almost died. Our lesson was scheduled for a few days later, and it was amazing. All of them committed to baptism. They didn't come to church because they had a family thing, but they promised that they will come this week.

Another man basically told us that he knew the Book of Mormon was true on the first lesson, and that he would call us and text us with the questions he has when he reads it.

There are so many people that the Lord has prepared and is preparing for us. Sometimes it feels like we aren't doing something right because we don't always see the immediate results. But, miracles come when you just keep going, even when it's hard.

Thanks for all of your support and for all of your prayers!! I love being a mission, and I love all the opportunities that I have to serve the Lord everyday. And I love seeing his hand in this work everyday.

No matter what our problems or difficulties are, as long as we are keeping the commandments, and doing our best, our Lord will never let us fail.

Sincerely,

Sister Bingham
