PDay Numero 4--February 25, 2014

February 25, 2013

Hello Everyone!!

Wow, this week has been SUPER busy!! And I only have 2 weeks left until I get out of this place! It's sooooo crazy how quickly time goes by!

So, Sister Latai got the card from Mom, and she was SO RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY. It seriously almost made me cry at how grateful she was. She literally told everyone that she saw that she finally got a letter! And she was so happy about it the rest of the week! She kept saying to me, "Your mom is an angel! She is so sweet! I love her! Yay! I got my very first letter!!!" I will never take for granted getting letters ever again.

Remember that R.M. that I added on Facebook from that FB group Tacloban Mission Alumni that I talked to for advice on what to bring and such? Well, I taught her in TRC last Thursday!!!!! IT was sooooo crazy!!! But she told me something really comforting! She complimented us on how well we knew the language, and said that her and her companions didn't have those language skills when she left the MTC, and we were only half way at the time. So I feel a lot better about it now! So that was pretty cool! Oh! And the church opening up 58 new missions immediately!! There's a new one in Cebu! But now there are 415 missions in the world- AMAZING!!

Oh, and we had a really cool devotional about personal study this week. They told us that when we start, to write down a question and then study, and the Lord will give you revelation to answer that question. In one of my personal studies, I asked the Lord what I could send to the people that I love that someone needed. And this is the really really amazing scripture chain that I found. So, read these in order! Hopefully I can bring someone closer to Christ:

Isaiah 53:3-5
3 Nephi 9:13
D&C 19:16-17
D&C 18 :10-11

I think that sometimes we focus on how scary repenting is. And how much we don't want anyone else to know our sins. But it's really good to focus on the positives of the atonement. Because of the atonement, we can all be clean, and happy. I have a really strong testimony that Heavenly Father LOVES us SOOOOO much! He wants us to bask in the happiness that is made possible to us through the atonement. His love is infinite, and for everyone! I'm so thankful that I have this opportunity to go to the Philippines and tell those sweet children of God that they can take part in this happiness. I love love love love love the gospel! And this month has helped my spirit heal, grow, and understand so much more than I ever have in my life! I also know that Heavenly Father listens to prayers, and that he does answer them. He wants a personal relationship with you, because you are His child! That knowledge should give you the confidence to live the way he wants to live, so that you can become what he wants you to be.

I had a breakthrough in the language this week! I FINALLY understand sentence structure!! It was something that I was struggling with soooooo much. But, now I get it! WOOO! I'm pretty happy about it!! (If you couldn't tell) And I feel like our teaching is going a lot more smoothly! It's so cool! We usually have a plan, and learn all the words and phrases for it. But lately, our lessons have been going in unplanned directions. The cool thing is, is that it doesn't matter because the spirit is the real teacher. Even though we couldn't say what WE wanted to say, we apparently said what HE wanted us to say. This week I realized that even though I miss all of you, There is no place I would rather be right now. I truly am SO happy to be a missionary! Like Dad said in his recording, the MTC is such a cool place! I feel the spirit ALL the time. And My testimony of how much the Lord loves me has grown so much. I wish everyone knew that. I feel so sad for the people that I know that doesn't know this. Because everyone deserves to! I'm sorry that I'm almost out of time on the computer, but I love all of you!!! I'm so thankful for all of the mail that I get! And I'm so so so sorry that I don't have enough time to write everyone back, but hopefully I will catch up on that today!!

Kinasingkasing,

Sister Bingham

Nahigugma koninyo!!!
